Pitch updates

Dear Patrons,

As part of a determined initiative to restore the ACG to one of Phuket’s premier sporting facilities and a leading venue for social sports clubs, we will be undergoing a range of facility updates and improvements over the coming months.

These upgrades are all part of efforts to welcome a variety of sports and services, with the overall aim of increasing patronage and driving new revenues for the club. To accommodate new and popular sports, a critical change must be made to the existing sports field by removing the current concrete cricket pitch and replacing the ageing artificial surface with a natural grass pitch.

By renovating the pitch, combined with effective management and scheduling, the ACG will be able to host a variety of exciting sporting and social events across a full 12-month calendar. Works on the removal of the concrete pitch are scheduled to begin at the end of July 2023, with the new grass wicket available for use by local and touring cricket teams from mid-October 2023.

In time, further improvements will be made, not only to the main field, but also to the clubhouse and additional facilities being made available to our patrons. Stay up to date with further news on the development of ACG via our new website: www.acg-phuket.com
